Es una opci\u00f3n muy utilizada para los\nfabricantes de veh\u00edculos debido a su simplicidad y bajo coste de fabricaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La parte\nprincipal de esta unidad de suspensi\u00f3n es un tubo largo y telesc\u00f3pico que\nincorpora un amortiguador. Suele estar provisto de un protector de pist\u00f3n para\nevitar la suciedad de la carretera y proteger las juntas. Un muelle helicoidal\nest\u00e1 situado entre dos copas de retenci\u00f3n. Se mantiene en su lugar bajo compresi\u00f3n\npor una tuerca de retenci\u00f3n que se fija a la parte superior del pist\u00f3n del\namortiguador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La unidad est\u00e1 conectada de forma r\u00edgida a la mangueta o al conjunto del buje. Se gira en la parte superior, normalmente mediante un cojinete superior, para acomodar el movimiento de la direcci\u00f3n. El cojinete forma parte del conjunto de soporte superior del puntal, que act\u00faa como aislante y como punto de fijaci\u00f3n entre la unidad de suspensi\u00f3n y la carrocer\u00eda del veh\u00edculo. Es una\nparte integral del conjunto del puntal de suspensi\u00f3n. Las copelas tambi\u00e9n\npueden incorporar un cojinete o una placa de apoyo que permite que el puntal\ngire con las ruedas directrices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La copela\nact\u00faa como un acoplamiento al muelle y al amortiguador, conect\u00e1ndolo a la\ncarrocer\u00eda. La fuerza de amortiguaci\u00f3n se absorbe dentro la copela que, a su\nvez, a\u00edsla la carrocer\u00eda del veh\u00edculo del ruido de la suspensi\u00f3n y de la\ncarretera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En la\ndirecci\u00f3n lateral, la copela est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para ser m\u00e1s r\u00edgida. Esto influye\npositivamente en la din\u00e1mica de conducci\u00f3n y en la respuesta de la direcci\u00f3n.\nEsto reduce en gran medida el ruido, las vibraciones y la dureza de la l\u00ednea\nmotriz y la suspensi\u00f3n, garantizando el m\u00e1ximo confort para el conductor y los\npasajeros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para ello, la copela superior del puntal tiene que garantizar un movimiento de baja fricci\u00f3n y sin distorsi\u00f3n del muelle del amortiguador durante la direcci\u00f3n y la desviaci\u00f3n. Esto permite que el muelle de la suspensi\u00f3n funcione sin un par de autoalineaci\u00f3n. La copela tambi\u00e9n tiene que ubicar el muelle del amortiguador y formar una superficie de apoyo para la deflexi\u00f3n completa del amortiguador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Todo esto tiene que lograrse en un dise\u00f1o compacto que se ha optimizado para un espacio limitado y que se presenta como una unidad sellada. Tambi\u00e9n tiene que estar libre de mantenimiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sustituci\u00f3n de la copela superior<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante la vida de esta unidad de suspensi\u00f3n, el amortiguador y el muelle tienen que expandirse y contraerse millones de veces, soportando la tensi\u00f3n de las superficies de la carretera. Esto incluye las superficies da\u00f1adas de la carretera, que aportan una tensi\u00f3n adicional a la unidad. Esto puede llevar a que el\ncojinete rompa la goma en la copela (Fig 3). La propia goma puede deteriorarse\ncon el paso del tiempo, lo que reduce el confort de conducci\u00f3n debido al\ndesarrollo de ruidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esto da lugar a una direcci\u00f3n tensa o a un exceso de juego en la direcci\u00f3n, a un manejo inestable y a una menor seguridad en la conducci\u00f3n y el frenado. Esto permite que se infiltre el agua y que se produzca un desgaste anormalmente alto. Esto proporciona la flexibilidad y la rigidez necesarias. La figura 4 muestra una vista en secci\u00f3n de la pieza 22639 de febi con el cojinete incluido.
