That&#8217;s why this year&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/ https:\/\/www.truckracing.de\/truckrace\/en\/news\/index.html\">FIA European Truck Racing Championship<\/a> starts much later than usual. Instead of starting in May, it will not start until August and, instead of eight races, only six will be held this season. Here is the complete list:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Most: August 29th \u2013 30th <\/li><li>Zolder: September 12th \u2013 13th <\/li><li>Jarama: September 26th \u2013 27th<\/li><li>Le Mans: October 3rd \u2013 4th<\/li><li>Hungaroring: October 17th \u2013 18th <\/li><li>Misano: November 14th \u2013 15th <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nevertheless, all the racers competing in the 17-member line-up are evidently happy that there is a plan and that there is a chance. Steffi Halm from Team Schwabentruck \u2013 which is sponsored by febi \u2013 is also looking forward to the early start of the season which she stated during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/watch\/live\/?v=531702831066975&amp;ref=watch_permalink\">presentation of her new Iveco S-Way<\/a>: &#8220;The season was planned to start much earlier. It&#8217;s clear to us that the deadline is now at the end of August and that&#8217;s where things will start; that&#8217;s what we are working towards. They are trying to get us back to Most for testing, but the plan is in place and we are well prepared. The trucks are well prepared.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Good Year: 2019<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2020,\nshe intends to build upon the strong performances from last year where she took\nfirst place in the team championship with Jochen Hahn and finished fourth in\nthe individual classification. &#8220;It was the second year for me with Team\nSchwabentruck and Iveco. Of course, there are always weekends that don&#8217;t run so\nwell and, unfortunately, the N\u00fcrburgring was the worst weekend we ever had.\nBut, all in all, it was a good year. We were able to improve and that&#8217;s also\nthe plan for 2020: to improve further and take another step forward.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.febi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/C26R9243-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5596\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.febi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/C26R9243.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blog.febi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/C26R9243-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.febi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/C26R9243-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.febi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/C26R9243-696x464.jpg 696w, https:\/\/blog.febi.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/C26R9243-630x420.jpg 630w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>In 2019, Steffi Halm was able to gain several places on the podium<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However,\nshe will have to give up the race at the N\u00fcrburgring this year: Since all major\nevents in Germany are prohibited until the end of August, the Truck Grand Prix\nin the Eifel region was also cancelled. A bitter loss for the entire\nchampionship, as Steffi underlines: &#8220;Of course it is the absolute\nhighlight not only for us Germans, but also for all the other drivers. I think\nwe should gather our energy, go all the way through the races that are planned\nfor this year, and then perform twice as strongly at the N\u00fcrburgring next year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Impressive New Truck<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Until then, she can use the time to familiarise herself with her new truck. The Iveco S-Way R &#8211; the official name of the racing version &#8211; impresses with strong statistics &#8211; 6,000 Newton metres, 1,100 hp, 5.3 tonnes in weight &#8211; and, once again, features various febi components, including regular <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.febi.com\/en\/made-for-the-road-tested-on-the-racetrack\/\">febi brake discs<\/a> which continue to prove their stability and performance under the extraordinary stresses of a truck racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But apart\nfrom the inner values, the outward appearance of Steffi&#8217;s vehicle is also\nimpressive: &#8220;Sure, in the end, the times must be right. But I am\nincredibly proud to be able to drive such a great truck this year.
